I have always known i was going but it wasn't untill we bought our tickets that i realized "i'm actually going to India for two months!" its so exciting...i miss everybody so much and i love you all a lot and am also excited about coming home and geting to see everybody again. :) if you could keep us in your prayers for the next two weeks that would be awesome, because we have to have finish our job--we have a lot to do and its kinda stressful. During our stay in India, if could pray that God would use us to bless the people and children we will be working with. Thanks for all you prayers, love, and support. I miss you all and would love to hear from you in the next two weeks.

Skating in D-Town

Our latest aweome little project! after my first atempt on making a qaurter pipe we got inspiered to build a real ramp...and the best part, we used all the old 2X4's from the house and some left over plywood we had laying around. Its also the talk of all the little neighberhood kids, its really cute because they come over almost everyday and ask us to when were going to take it out again-we keep it in the garage just in case it might rain.

pimpin it in detroit

During Van's clean up of Da basement he found some pretty incredible outfits! Van is the son of the peoples house we are working on.

Fooling around!

the new game of darts!

skating!

Rain or shine, snow or hail, we will skate! a little creativity go's a long way! building ramps in detroit you have to emporvise a little, using some old doors, duct tape, a little plywood, a few screws and the little blue, truck to create the sweetest quarter pipe!! after baling really hard a couple of times i realized it needs a little improvment. Its a work in progress. I'll be getting more photos as we continue to skate.

and sure enough i had to eat concrete!!

The New Look!

This is what living in a small house when its below thirty most of the time can do to you!! :)

Elizabeth Park

This a beautiful park we visited over the weekend. It boarders the Detroit river. It was really fun getting to stroll across the bridges and along the river walk way. It was really funny taking pictures on the bridge, because its the only entrance to the park and road makes a circle and comes out across the bridge. So as everyone drove by we got some really good looks and couple people even yelled some stuff at us, I guess nobody ever takes pictures around there. The lady on the bike was awesome, here i am cruising down the road back to the car and i see this old lady drive up on Harley with a little dog strapped on to the back of her bike. It was a first. This park was a definite improvement from Belle Isle. We didn't get any pictures, but we threw our three dollar football from target for probably an hour and most exciting part is it started raining on us!

Night on Main St

Our first visit to Main St in Royal Oaks, a nice town around two miles away from our house. I kind of discovered this place in a round about way; i was searching for Qdoba on my VZ Navigator on my phone and it so happened there was one on Main St. After picking up our delicious burritos for dinner, i told Barak about it and we decided we would have to go there. I think it was a Saturday night, we got all spiffed up and headed out. But there was one slight problem, parking was at a minimum, so we drove around for two hours looking for a free place to park (all the parking is metered there). We eventually found one. We strolled around for a while and found a nice little sushi bar, but the wait was crazy. So to save money and not sit around for an hour, we decided to enjoy a few tacos at Qdoba's and then head back to the sushi bar. And wow was that sushi good!

some weird statue Barak took pictures of.

Belle Island

So, this was one of our exursions. we do leave the house some times. Its a place called Belle Island, were not sure its the safest place to go, due to all the gangster looking cars and this schetchy feeling we get the two times we've been their. But its still really cool, because its one of the first places we've found that you can walk down to the waters edge and watch the sunset over the water.

This is looking out from belle island. We have Detroit on the right and Canada on the left

if you look closely, you can see me in the phone.

chilling by the water!
