After 14 hour plane flight, we arrived safely in New Delhi, India. We were greeted by Daniel Raj and Anand. Anad is a driver for the school and Daniel and his wife Danielle are staying with us for the first two weeks to help us get adjusted to life in New Delhi. The airport is quite a ways from our apartment, so we experienced what real driving is like. Just picture lots of cars ( the cars over here are very small), big dump trucks, rickshaws, bikes and people on foot, i almost forgot the cows. its pretty crazy. Oh and they use there horns a Lot! My first experience with a beggar was a little boy; we were at a stop light when he spotted us and ran over to the car and started wiping the windows with rag, it melted my heart. We arrived at our apartment and they had prepared tomato soup for us. You have to understand it 12 am and its 90 degrees. The soup was a little hot, but very delicious. We awoke to a hot breakfast of Eggs and toast, an American style breakfast as our Indian friend Nessa referred to it has. we have spent most of the day resting. we also were able to visit with Daniel Raj, showing him family photos and pictures of the surfing which he had never heard of. around 6 pm, 8:45 am Kentucky time we headed of to the Internet cafe in a rickshaw. Tomorrow is the start of summer camp for the school and i was told there will be around 500 kids attending.
Love in Christ,
Willie
